Greetings:
On behalf of the people of the State of Colorado, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the
Veteran’s Passport to Hope Benefit for the Wounded Warrior Project.
As a non-partisan, all-volunteer organization, VP2H works to raise awareness about veterans’ issues, support fundraising for veteran-friendly non-profits, and encourage cooperation among other similar organizations.
The Wounded Warrior Project, which will benefit from the proceeds of this event, is one such organization. The Project provides unique and direct programs and services that ease the burdens of the wounded and their families, aid in the recovery process, and help smooth the transition back to civilian life
We have more than 420,000 veterans living in Colorado, and we are very grateful to them for serving our nation. We are working to make Colorado the most veteran-friendly state in the nation, and by being here tonight you are helping us achieve that goal.
Once again, welcome to the Veteran’s Passport to Hope Benefit. You have my best wishes now and in the years to come.
Sincerely,
John W. Hickenlooper
Governor
